yoga schedule

I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification after studying Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga under Grace Dubery in Toronto in 2012. I continued my education with a Prenatal Yoga teacher certification through The Yoga Sanctuary, and workshops in Restorative Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage at The Toronto Yoga Conference.
In my practice, I strive above all to be open and honest with myself. I find that during or after a heart-opening practice, I will have tears in my eyes, and I count that to be a good sign! When done mindfully, the physical asana practice of yoga will break down the barriers of the ego and the stories the mind tells us about ourselves, allowing us to clear the way and see a little more easily who we are and where we are (and should be) going.
As a yoga teacher, I encourage openness and honesty with oneself during your practice as well. We can only start where we are, and it is only through honesty with ourselves about where that is, and acceptance of that place and how we came to be there, that we can begin to journey from our starting place towards where we want to be.

I am not teaching any regular classes at this time, as I am enjoying spending time with my new little sidekick. I am available to teach private or semi-private classes just for you or a small group. Please contact me if you are interested and I would be glad to discuss rates and location {I live in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada}.
